At the 2025 annual general meeting of Yeovil Probus Club on Monday 18th November the Vice Chairman, Chris Robins, presented cheques of £300 each to Girlguiding Yeovil & Yeovil Scouts.
The money had been collected by members throughout the year at their monthly lunches and was part of their desire to help the youth of the town.
Linda Carrington, joint district Commissioner for Girlguiding Yeovil said that” “We’re incredibly grateful to Probus for their generous donation. This will help us continue to provide exciting and empowering activities for girls in Yeovil”
Heather Pitts, District Commissioner, East Somerset Scout District (Camelot) said “The donation will be used by local groups to support their families who, through financial hardship, would otherwise struggle to benefit from all the experiences Scouting can offer them”
